About This Whisky
Highland Park Cask Strength: Heather is a limited-edition single malt bottled at a formidable 63.6% ABV. Matured in first-fill European and American oak Sherry casks with select refill casks, it is non-chill filtered with no added colour. Unlike Highland Park's usual combination of unpeated and peated malt, Heather is made with 100% Orkney peat sourced from Hobbister Moor, bringing an intensely aromatic, floral dimension to the distillery's distinctive smoky character.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Glowing amber.
Nose: Fragrant notes of bonfire smoke, vanilla pods and brandy butter with dried fruit and Sherry.
Palate: Creamy marshmallow and nutty notes of macadamia, offset by peppery spice, vanilla sweetness and aromatic heathered peat.
About the Distillery
Highland Park traces its history to 1798 on Orkney, where the distillery produces its distinctive island single malt using local peat from Hobbister Moor. Orkney's windswept landscape and heather-rich peat contribute to the aromatic smoky character closely associated with Highland Park whisky.
