Overview

A barrel and parcel selection from Nevis Bluff's L’Attitude Vineyard in the Pisa sub-region of Central Otago, this Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is selected to highlight the site's deeper herb, spice and bramble characters. The 2024 release combines concentrated dark and red fruit with savoury complexity, fine tannins and carefully integrated French oak, earning exceptional critical acclaim including 98 Points and Double Gold at the 2025 New Zealand International Wine Show.

Vineyard

The fruit comes from the L’Attitude Vineyard in the Pisa sub-region of Central Otago. This 20-hectare vineyard is certified through the Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) programme and is planted on free-draining soils. For the Single Vineyard Pinot Noir, specific parcels and barrels are selected to express the deeper herb, spice and bramble characters of the site.

Winemaking

Hand-selected grapes were harvested in early April and 100% destemmed before barrel fermentation. The wine was matured for 10 months in French oak, including 28% new oak.

Nevis Bluff has specialised in Central Otago Pinot varieties since 1998. Its L’Attitude Vineyard is situated in the Lowburn / Pisa area of Central Otago and is certified through the Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand programme. Winemaker Matt Connell brings extensive experience in Pinot Noir and focuses on wines that reflect the character of their vineyard and vintage.
