“An easy-drinking, super approachable riesling style. Lemon-lime, faint ginger, some bath salts, a touch of talc, licks of passionfruit, touches of saline/sea spray characters. All of this in a pleasingly juicy, lightly chalky, refreshing kind of frame and persona. A little chalkiness in the finish has a nice x-factor. A sense of purity, too. Individual. Delightful. Ripping value.”

About This Wine
This Riesling is sourced from a single site on Forest Hill Vineyard in Mount Barker, Great Southern, with vines averaging 20 years of age. The vineyard is organically farmed on ancient soils dominated by gravel and loams over a clay base.
The fruit was picked in two passes for optimal ripeness, using a combination of whole-bunch pressing and destemming before pressing. Fermentation took place in stainless steel, followed by lees maturation to build texture prior to blending and bottling in July.
Tasting Notes
An aromatic expression showing sweet citrus, florals, subtle spice and talc. The palate is vibrant yet soft and approachable, with citrus and yellow nectarine flavours supported by a balanced, ripe natural acid spine.
