The fruit was meticulously hand-sorted, berry by berry, before being crushed and moved to tank. Around 30% of the wine underwent fermentation with wild yeast, adding complexity and aromatic lift. After fermentation, it matured for 14 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which were new.
Deep crimson in hue, the bouquet reveals rose petals, vibrant red cherries, mulberries, and subtle toasty oak. The palate is silky and refined, with fine tannins framing layers of red fruit, blackberry, and hints of liquorice. Delightfully approachable now, it also promises rewarding development with careful cellaring.
