Overview
A highly rated Barossa Valley Shiraz from Greenock Creek, the 2017 Apricot Block combines intensity with impressive definition and structure. Bright red and dark plum fruit meet graphite, clove and dark chocolate, supported by ripe tannins and considerable length. Already carrying several years of bottle age, it retains serious long-term cellaring potential.

“Violet-purple colour, bright and vivacious. Oak is firm, graphite and clove, bright mulberries and even a rare stone-fruit tease to the bouquet. Ripely-fruited though measured and focused. Intense red cherry and red plum fruits roll off a core of graphite and dark chocolate. Tannins are ripe. An excellent wine that will last for decades.”
