"Slinky, slippery, inky red of cherry juice and red plummy fruit flavours, fennel-like greenery in the mix and a light, seaweed character that feels wholly appealing. While fruity and silky it’s also gently savoury, the wine feels quite tight, a little diffuse, despite the flow and medium weight concentration, it draws long and to a fine, feathery tannin-laced conclusion down the trail. "Main Ridge Estate is an ideal site for producing high quality cool climate Pinot Noir. Located in a small valley at 230 metres altitude on Arthur’s Seat, our small 7 acre vineyard was planted progressively from 1975. It is one of the oldest and highest vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula. The north-east facing vineyards slope gently, sheltered by stands of mature trees. The rich volcanic soil and mature deep-rooted vines ensure no irrigation is required. Main Ridge Estate wines have always been made exclusively from estate grown fruit.
