For this year's John Walker & Sons King George V Lunar New Year Limited Edition Design, Johnnie Walker has partnered with rising star of the fashion industry, Shanghai-based designer Angel Chen.

This year’s design features the PENG鵬, a mythical giant bird which symbolizes Great accomplishments and Bright future.

John Walker & Sons King George V features irreplaceable whiskies from distilleries that operated during King George V’s reign. Imparting a coastal smokiness and sweet spice, every drop is a true rarity, matched only by the exclusivity of its elegant and limited edition design - a regal bird ascending with its wings outstretched as it reaches across plush reds and majestic golds.

Tasting Notes

Drawn from extremely rare, precious casks, including irreplaceable whiskies from the now silent distillery of Port Ellen, this elegantly rich and creamy whisky has rarity reflected in every drop. 

NOSE 

Sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen greet you. It’s followed by notes of orange, raisins, figs and cinnamon.

PALATE

Abundant spice and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies are perfectly balanced with vanilla. They release layers of sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts.

FINISH

Port Ellen gives a coastal smokiness that gathers momentum through the long finish.
