Overview

A layered and expressive McLaren Vale Tempranillo, combining juicy red and dark fruit with savoury spice, earthy complexity and fine tannins. The 2025 vintage moves between ripe cherry and plum characters and more savoury herbal and spice notes, with bright acidity bringing freshness and balance.

Vineyard

Made from 100% Tempranillo grown in McLaren Vale, South Australia. The vines were 17 years old at the 2025 vintage, with fruit harvested on 8 February and 6 March 2025.

Winemaking

The wine was matured for nine months in 100% seasoned French oak, adding subtle complexity while allowing the Tempranillo fruit and savoury character to remain at the forefront.

Producer Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep red with purple hues.

Bouquet: Aromatic and layered, showing ripe red cherry, plum, and dark berry fruits intertwined with subtle notes of dried herbs, gentle spice grounded by earthy undertones.

Palate: Medium to full bodied with a supple yet structured palate. Juicy red and dark fruit are supported by fine, savoury tannins that provide structure and length. Bright acidity brings balance and freshness, while subtle earthy and spice notes linger through the finish.
