Geographe Wine Region:
Hilly mountainous area littered with fresh produce farms as well as livestock. The climate is cool, with good consistent rainfalls at the correct time. Outstanding region for vegetables and fruit. Not too hot of a summer with a cold winter ensures perfect grape growing conditions.

BARBERA: 
Sturdy red wine grape originating in the Piedmont region of NW Italy, the work-horse grape of the region. A classic high acid wine grape that grows well in varying weather conditions. Deep red in colour with an intense fruit driven palate that exudes an aroma of dark fruits like ripe plums and black berries. There is a tendancy to allow the grapes to hang longer on the vine to build up sugar content in which to balance the acid.

Pairs well with roast beef & lamb dishes or your favorite pizza.

Preferably a wine to be enjoyed young or up to 5 years of vintage date.
