Magill Estate Shiraz is a significant wine from Penfolds, notable for being the only one produced from the remaining original 5.2-hectare vineyard at the historic Penfolds winery in Magill, founded in 1844 in Adelaide's eastern suburbs. Introduced in 1983, this wine exemplifies an elegant, medium-weight style with a velvety texture and fine tannins, aged in both new French and American oak. Despite its modern appeal, it is crafted traditionally in the over 120-year-old winery, with hand-picked grapes, open fermentation, and basket pressing.
