Overview

The 2021 Paringa Estate Single Vineyard "The Paringa" Shiraz 750ml is the flagship Shiraz from Paringa Estate, one of Mornington Peninsula's most acclaimed cool-climate producers. Sourced exclusively from the original estate vineyard planted in 1985, this limited-production wine showcases the remarkable elegance, spice and structure that have established Paringa Estate among Australia's benchmark Shiraz producers.

Crafted by Lindsay McCall and Jamie McCall, The Paringa Shiraz reflects the unique maritime influence of Mornington Peninsula, delivering a refined, Rhône-inspired expression that balances vibrant dark fruit with savoury complexity, fine tannins and exceptional ageing potential.

Vintage & Winemaking

The 2021 vintage produced fruit of exceptional purity and natural balance, allowing the estate vineyard to express its cool-climate character with remarkable precision. The mature vines, planted in 1985, delivered concentrated fruit while retaining vibrant acidity and aromatic lift, resulting in a wine built for long-term cellaring.

Fruit from the estate vineyard was fermented in large oak foudres before maturing for 15 months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barriques. This restrained approach preserves vineyard character while adding texture, spice and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
