2017 Mount Pleasant Mount Henry Shiraz - Pinot Noir 750ml

A blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Pinot Noir, this wine is small in production but big in character. Scoring 95 points from Mike Bennie at The Wine Front, it boasts vibrant cherry juice, cranberry tang, layers of spice, and fine tannins, creating a wine that’s as beautiful to feel as it is to taste. Halliday Wine Companion also awarded it 95 points, praising the balance between tannins, acidity, and savory notes like earth, rust, black cherry, and plum. Though lighter in style, it has a robust presence that promises great aging potential. Originally inspired by Maurice O'Shea's visionary blending, the 2018 vintage continues this legacy with elegance and subtlety, using Shiraz from the 1946 Rosehill plantings and Mothervine Pinot Noir from vines planted in 1921.
